Day after I did notice we drove past a place that I wanted to visit for years.. And had something to do with Triumph.. Another hour later. Imperia factory in Nessonvaux, TR2's, Mayflower's where build here in the 50's. and.. test track for a part on the roof !

I really need to update this more 😅😅. Currently im at 409.000kms. And shes back in her Ral7031 to since a few years. @Nick Jones will know the color well ! been really busy the last years on a Porsche 911, keeping many local and not so local Spitfires on the road. Moving and empty a whole school campus that I worked at and moved to another 😅. But Fox is still on the road. And 2 weekends ago we done a 688km/472miles drive.. The Nachtrit (Nightdrive) with start/finish at Rolduc, Kerkrade (Netherlands), 260kms. 38 teams out of 4 Countries. Most of the drive was in the belgian Ardennes. Messenger_creation_D5C60852-B643-4A76-B401-6A4BEEDA2B5E.mp4 and made it back. But we got lost and so where 5 other teams. We and a Dolomite 1850 team that helpes us and we them to, decided to drive another hour back to Rolduc.

So today Autoglass called to say that the glass was in and confirm tomorrow’s booking. Then half a jour later called again to say it was a saloon screen and they were unable to find the correct one. They are refunding my excess so they’ve given up. Bollocks!! I have a lead on a complete tailgate (4 hour round trip away and silver, not black) and another contact in the glass industry checking for hidden new ones, though that seems like a long shot . However, with the wheel bearing rapidly getting worse, along with the TRE clattering away I’m going to park it under its cover for the winter and review in the spring. Now looking for a car I can bear to own at a price I can bear to pay that I don’t have to fiddle with! That’s a small set in these parts. Especially since I need it now! -

I have used it in the past (think that’s what is in my W58) and it seems ok. But at that price I won’t be using it again! -

Yeah…. Herald chassis carried about 20 miles on Dolomite like this. Spitfire/GT6 chassis 80 miles on A6 like this(did have roof bars). Vitesse bulkhead 10 miles on roof rack on Cortina estate…., various Vitesse and Spitfire bonnets on the A6 roof. And yet… even I probably wouldn’t attempt the full Spitfire tub….. How far is it? -
That is scarey! Thanks to DeTRacted, Iʻve found an exact replacement for the ther8mal switch, down to the serial number embossed on the base! It'll be here tomorrow. I hope my coffe maker doesnt look like your switch afterwards! John -

And therein lies the issue with this side of medical practice, like yourself many folk previously learned to cope not knowing what they might be diagnosed with. Now it's all about diagnosis and medication. So maybe not so much a case of numbers increasing but just better diagnosis. I do question the need to medicate all cases, for example I might suspect you Clive would have managed quite well without the diagnosis, as you said you were bright enough to cope, and I might assume also had parents who "taught" you to cope, whereas now it's almost universal that as soon as a child is diagnosed they have medication prescribed, which is often more to do with lazy parenting. A good family friend of mine has two boys, one of which is diagnosed ADHD. He spent a holiday with my sister (who is also a secondary school teacher), and she kept him stimulated throughout and didn't have any issues with him, but at home everything was simply blamed on the ADHD. I'm not suggesting by any means that that is the case with all children who are diagnosed, but it does make me question if there is not a "happy medium" somewhere in there that would help ease the load on the NHS. But anyway, that's becoming a significant thread drift, so I'll stop there 🤣
