wimpus Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Hi, I have a solenoid that leaks at the rear (at the electrical part), replaced by a good Volvo used one. But do want to try to fix the old. Should this be the internal seals on the piston that goes bad ? I've read its a real pain to get it apart, did manage to remove the clip. But the rest is stuck.
Nick Jones Posted November 4 Posted November 4 Hi Wim, This (towards the bottom of page 9 and into page 10) should help with getting it apart. However, I’m not sure it will help with the external leak through the solenoid itself? Worth a try though. 1

Got it apart with a wood screw (new 'special tool' to go on the wall). I've just send a message to Mike Papworth about the leak. But if it can be saved like this, its a win.
