    • There are things on that web page that cannot be unseen. Horrible things - the stuff of nightmares. But on the bright side, I saw a picture of a pink Herald stretch limo recently. When I've recovered, I'll post it.
    • Yeah, it takes practice to use the auto mistake function on smart phones!
    • The guy was into this project for over £100k  or that’s what he wanted back
    • Thanks as don’t participate in FB I must admit to not seeing this heads up on the forum beforehand.
    • Write out 100 times, "I must stop posting from my phone!"
    • We didn’t…. Called the owner straight away….. “I haven’t lost any sheep…..! Oh….! Maybe I have!” Then when she arrived and counted them she wanted to know where the “other three” were. Not my problem lady
    • Suctioned and festures  Sorry John. But it is nice when I find it's not just me with the fat finger affliction
    • Garage pretty much decontaminated at last and a bit of a diversion tidying up/chucking out stuff on the shelving which made me feel better . Also been doing a bit of work on the house (concreting) when the weather has been amenable and took the detritus from that job off to the dump this morning. Out to the garage this afternoon to make some progress fitting the hinge tubes to the bonnet. But where exactly do they fit? The info from Phil was very helpful as a starting point but what I have found is that on my bonnet it's close but not quite. So need to get a datum somehow and the obvious starting point is the hinge pivot point. Left to right has very little adjustment but is pretty straightforward with the hinge mounts on the chassis at 700mm centres. Vertical too, a good bit of adjustment of the chassis mounts and just need the hinge central in the grille opening. Fore and aft there is about 20mm adjustment in the chassis mounts so just need a position relative to the bonnet/car. And for this it was a measure from the door to the chassis mount. Bit of threaded rod did the trick. And gave a useful check that the chassis mounts are square. Then I made up a fairly basic jig to set the hinge point on the bonnet. Having it back in the mould gave me something to fix to. Threading into wood is not the best but it does the job.
    • Hamish was not the onohnone to note that this extraordinary car, the Wolfrace Sonic, was to be suctioned.  It festures in the Aiction zroom column in the current (January 2026!) MotorSport:
