    • An interesting channel in general but this particular installment hits some current geopolitical nails very firmly on the head...
    • Ho ho! That looks like a Meteor (land based Merlin). Bonkers to 11
    • Just seen the luchtime news and one of my first thoughts was how is Nick getting on as it looks pretty grim.
    • I've posted about Mr.Joe Hewes, and his bonkers tank videos before, see above.     Now, he has an associate, Mr.Scott Nagle, who is pursuing a project for him.    I'll post the video below, and bonkers?   This is off the map.   But the interesting thing is that he intends to fit a large carburetted engine with EFI, for which he needs to design and build a suitable intake manifold, in not much space.    The method he will use is to have the top of the block digitally scanned, so that he can then design the new parts all in CAD!  Bet some here who have done the same for Triumphs wish they had been able to do that! Anyway, on with the video!
    • Me too. While a man of his time and class in many ways, I reckon some of his views might have been considered dangerously progressive and lefty by the gin-soaked colonels and brigadiers that were his contemporaries
    • We’ve had a bit of weather….. peeing with rain and blowing like 40 bastards.  SM was up fairly early to go to work “something bad is happening!” Drive was under water and overflowing down the side of the house, then over a wall into the stream.  This means the drains in the lane are both blocked and flow is HIGH.    Went out and unblocked the drains (just love water in my welly before breakfast ) - just leaves and sticks. The water in the lane then dumps into the stream, which floods half the garden but that’s the lesser evil. Could be much worse though. This is from a not-quite-flooded neighbour in the village where the brook crosses the main road. Blue Volvo is theirs and parked. It’s ok. The black SLK is on the road and is drowned. There are a couple of other drowned cars out of sight too. It’s not stopping others trying their luck. Meanwhile, down in Devon the Otter has set a new record and Tipton Garage are having a bad day.
    • Good. I have Gripper in the Spitfire mainly due to its hillclimb heritage where lifting a wheel could occasionally happen. I got it set up quite 'soft' and it worked very well on the track and not too obtrusive on the road. Had a look at those for the Scimitar but anything associated with old Jags just adds a premium and the price was not justifiable. And in any case for the road the ATB is as good if not better than a locker.
    • Thanks, Clive!   I use Norton, which does the same, behind the one password that I can remember, as it's a phrase, while providing a random 20 character (or more, but that seemed enough) password generator.    John
    • Good plan. I like my Blackline.
    • I’ve found them good. Buy Koni shocks from them as they are cheaper than UK suppliers even with shipping. Have to ring them to sort it all, but that’s no hassle.
