My cat jumps on the windowsill to look outside, to see if it's raining. THEN, it will sit looking through the cat flap until it stops. Huh, dogs!

Hello All I also found a bit on the bottom that had been rubbing on the screw head that holds the oil cooler in so I soldered over that as well(Belt and Braces!!) Will be changed to Counter sunk head ones now! Roger -
Yes, all the 'classic' road racing venues share that risk. Mallory is also a favourite among bikers, so maybe that was why they took down the trees. But the IOM and the TTs are a special case, because they are for bikers only, so much more vulnerable. Been there, done that, as a medic, and I was horrified. If you have a road with a dry stone wall either side, an out of control biker will scrape along each wall until they stop. Bad enough but a slow deceleration. If there is a gate in the wall, the biker will impact the far side of the entry at full speed, yet all that there was to 'cushion' that impact was a bale of straw. There should have been Armco, right across the entry, so that the biker slid on past, slowing gradually. And the weekend I was at the TTs, 'Mad Sunday' killed six ordinary punters, trying to copy their professional heroes. It's well named. I've also visited Angouleme, although not at race time, and the potential impacts there are on massive buildings, not just trees! John

But that's on a closed public road, not a dedicated race circuit. Like the IOM TT course or that town centre circuit in France (can't remember the name of it). Or even the farmyard at Harewood. And unlike Mallory I doubt they have modern racers there. Horses for courses I suppose
