    • Ok they arrived today which was superfast. First impressions are that they feel super light and well made. Over 1kg per side saving which is a huge plus on unsprung weight. I have compared them to a spare Gt6 hub. (I removed the bearings and races and stubs though a small amount of grease remained. The inportant bearing dimentions are identical so big win there as well as a 1.1kg saving per side. However the bolt holes for the disc are not taped like they on on the cast iron one and the stub holes have no groove marks in (though i guess with it being ally once they are pressed in they will form their own. The centre of the hub also doesnt have the same big void the stock one has. The rear of the hub doesnt have the same external step in however i cant think why that would mater.
    • Can't you just cut 3inches off the long one?
    • Not that hard to make the collector…… …… for a man of you talents. Just saying
    • Thanks Ian. Happy Birthday. Hope you get out on the bike today. And manage to keep the faith with the Sprint
    • @Escadrille Ecosse I work long nightshifts week on/week off so have a somewhat haphazard routine for following threads, to remedy this I have just caught up on the last year of your project all in one go and this have left me rather lost for words and in absolute awe  of the results and effort you are putting in Colin. Having hurt a hamstring at work some 11 months ago I have made no progress on my Dolomite Sprint for the last year. Haven't been cycling either but as it is my birthday on Monday I will go out then for a wee while. As for the Sprint? I am in a bit of a catch 22, the job I do is poorly paid (and very tiring) so I am having to do other work on my week off which then deprives me of time.... oh, what to do?  thanks, Ian
    • Beer plays with my vision too. Ugly women look stunning, muscle bound guys look skinny. It's a hell of a thing, but I ain't stopping.
    • Looks like a tv production company will be there.  wonder who ? hammond and the smallest cog ??
    • Sadly not, I had a feeling I was going to have this issue but it was one of those late night cheap purchases! It must be an old moss or tt one, haven't seen any mild steel ones for years. It's the 621 type that doesn't have the branches overlapping i think the new ss ones have them overlapping in the middle and having the downpipes finish side by side? Mine finish on top of one another, I'll try and snap a photo of the underside of the car. It's awkward as one of the downpipes is about 3* shorter than the other.
