Hello. Belated good vibes to all.

Have question.

See pic.

These wishbones came from GT6Mike CT forum.

Seals have split so new joints needed.

Anyone know what they are?

Maybe the man himself?

Loathed to remove and fit standard wishbones and ball joints.

Cheers.

Dave.

Hi Dave,

Great to see you back on your forum.

Look like the same wishbones I bought from Canley's. Bought two replacement ball joints from them a couple of years ago. Seem to remember there are two types of thread metric, UNF.

Hi Dave. Great to hear from you here!

As Mark sats. Adjustable wishbones from Canleys as fitted on my Mk1. Nicely made and very strong.

Bought replacement joints from Canleys a couple of years ago. Yours look like mine with the metric fine threads

Greetings Dave. Good to see you here and good to see the Beast getting some love.

First thought…. If it’s just the gaiters, why not replace just the gaiters? Fairly easy to get these days. EBay, GSF etc. just need to do some measuring. Or go to the the scrapyard for OE quality!

Second thought….. it’s a tie rod end, maybe Transit

Sorted it with a seal pack from eBay. Few days work and nearly ready. Thought clutch slave cylinder from Mondeo was fingered but works fine, so no engine out, very pleasing. All in for £750 to get it working minus tyres. Will get some Yokohama A048. Not cheap but nice.

Thanks for advise. The new seals perfect.

Few snags to overcome but only minor.

Have nice Rimmers fibreglass hardtop I'll fit. Will mod with polycarbonate bolted on rear screen.

Horn diffective and washer pump. Also fan controller. All on way.

Great to get going and enjoying the spannering.

Hard to believe it's been 14 years.

So relieved about the clutch. Would be £350 as I need engine crane.

Probably drop the diff as minor leak on output flange. Also rig a 45 degrees pipe from the silencer for Castle Combe and fit another silencer in the carpark as it's a bit loud.

All the best DaveSoonToBeSideways.
