    • Possibly may have been that I deleted them, made the files smaller then re- uploaded, hopefully you can see them now? Conscious of using up valuable Sideways data or whatever the term is. Yes, it was under a serious amount of load, I was waiting for something to go bang. In the overcrowded confines of my workshop it was a bit to close for comfort. If it's not raining tomorrow I'll have it outside with my trusty 3ft DIY exstension bar, and some heat, fingers crossed.
    • Can’t see your pics for some reason…? Finer threads do give more mechanical advantage. These hubs can be very well on there. Heat and shock whilst held under tension can be your friend.  Can finally come off rather violently though so take care!
    • Thought about buying a puller, Canleys's website says available to order, but not called them to comfirm availability. As it was the weekend I thought I would have a go at making one. Found a big nut and bolt, otherwise it would have been a non starter. Had some 10mm plate, and some 2mm tube, which worked, just needed to increase the wall thickness by reducing another piece of tube in diameter and doubling them up. I was a bit concerned about damaging the end of the driveshaft, so made up a thread protector using an old nut with a thick washer to blank one end. First attempt this evening, but the nipple on the center of the bolt was punching its way through the washer. Second attempt I welded a 10mm thick block on top of the washer and gave it another go. Using a long bar and socket I gave it some real oomph. It is extremely tight and as yet the hub has not moved. Wondering if the thread on the bolt needs to be finer, and if this would exert more force. Another thought was to either make a point on the end of the bolt to match the hole in the end of the driveshaft, or even a ball bearing dropped in the hole. I may try some heat and give it  another go tomorrow.
    • Would now be a good time to discuss Kim Kardashian..? Now that this intellectual powerhouse has decreed that there were no moon landings, maybe she could be send there, as the first person on the moon, to 'livestream' the arrival of 2024 YR4. Just a thought...
    • I have been thinking... I now do have a gearset out of a P-type with 28% overdrive instead of the standard 25% 🤔😅.
    • I must admit that the main LT77 did look freshly painted & the gearbox oil was very clean. I think the previous owner wasn't doing the work himself and the Rangie had cost him quite a few quid. I think the viscous coupling going was the last straw for him. Hoping that his loss is my gain! The tailgate frame has arrived, but still in the box as I'm on call this week. Hope to offer some updates next week..... Thanks for your interest
    • No, but there's a red double decker bus apparently.
    • Good job there aren’t any buildings or trees on the moon.
    • It’s a tr6 he’ll get there in the end.
    • He wants to see the views and not be asleep or under the threat of falling asleep.
