And whilst I don't understand the scoring system, you presumably have managed some decent times/scores in the 9 events you completed. That plus the return of the pesky weasel that won't leave you be suggests (to the non-initiated) that maybe your not that far away from Len either? Okay, admittedly making up that last bit of time most likely comes with a significant price tag! So an excellent result all round!

I’ve made an adapter plate for my conventional engine stand so it holds a six sideways like that. More stable and more convenient.

So the season has finished ( castle Combe yesterday being the last event) 2nd to Len AGAIN think this is the 4th year but pleased to get the greased weasel award back.   1st overall - Len Olds class 3a  (60 points) 15 events completed 2nd overall - Hamish Roscoe class 2b (59.98) 9 events 3rd overall - Rob MacGregor class 3b  (59.76) 12 events ( best 6 scores count 10 points for a win against a handicap bogey time) Class 1 standard road going no awards   Class 2  road going modified (2 awards) 1st - John Weedon (57.75) 12 events 2nd - Jerry Vincent (55.86) 7 events   Class 3 Modified and can be non road going eg full race log book cars on slicks or forged billet cranks (3 Awards) 1st - Matt Waltham (59.39) 13 events 2nd - Steve Small ( 58.93) 10 events 3rd - Chris Linforth ( 58.31) 9 events    Best newcomer - Keith O'Dell Best lady - Sam Browne Spirit of the road - Jerry Vincent ( highest placed and driven competition car to all events) Gatepost - you will have to wait for the night -typically the mishap award   Greased Weasel - Hamish Roscoe ( 0-64ft   2.37sec)

The first RBRR that took on a charitable basis was in 1990, the event raising £13.5K that time for the British Heart Foundation and since then has gone on to raise a further £877K for other UK Charities, the highest amount being £102K for the Motor Neurone Disease Assoc. in 2021. At present this year's RBRR charity amount is circa £80K. The most pleasing fact being that 95% of the entrants have raised money, this is unusual. Must admit I was blown away (literally) by the way the crews battled through Storm Amy, the majority of retirements being due to catastrophic engine/transmission failures.  The RBRR team are already thinking about the 2027 event and hope to make some good evolutionary changes.
