Sidescreen Ben
I do try to get my moneys worth so tend to delay the trip into town for a haircut. Yesterday enough was enough and off I went for a shearing. I was delighted to find an unexpected magazine in the heap whilst waiting for a good cropping. I was interested to see what a 10-year old TR3 was worth (and I'm fervently hoping the decimal point has moved a few places to the left in the intervening years! Sidescreen Ben
.................of course I meant decimal point to the right! Just checking to see if you were awake!
Nick Jones
So let me get this straight.......... your barber has car mags dating back to 1967 (my birth year) put out for his customers to read...... How unexpected. How wonderful! I'll have to have a word with mine. Though as another of the "value for money" boys he'll not likely value my opinion that much! JohnD
I doubt it'll be there long. We collect our magazines, all types, and instead of taking them to the recycling, they go to my old hospital out patients. I take a whole boxful at a time, it weighs about 50kilos, a hundred magazines or so. Every time I do so, they are most welcome, as all the previous ones have gone! People nick them! PeterC
So my £600 DB2/4 in 1970 wasn't too pricey, despite its sunken wet liners. Peter

Sidescreen Ben
Well I was very surprised to see it! Most of the mags are 2013-2016 vintage. You are probably correct that when I return for my next "moneys worth" in a couple of months it will have been nicked (whoops) purloined (hows that Nick?!) Iain
Our GP practice refuses to accept magazines.....they harbor germs apparently. So that 1967 Classic will probably walk of its own accord:-)
