Martin
The big joy of fitting a windscreen. Several attempts. Bought the screen years ago from a reputable trader. It is definitely to small at the corners. But buying a new screen? Nooooo. Edited April 18, 2023 by Martin

JohnD
Martin, Isn't the routine fitment to put the seal on the car, and then the glass in the seal? John
Martin
Hi John, this is the way you fit it at old Mini‘s. GT6 workshop manual says fit rubber to glass then insert a cord into the rubber seal, …… Martin

Where did the seal come from. Some of them are definitely wrong (though too big in my experience) Seals from COH Baines fit. Fill gaps with mastic sealant then for trim filler strip. (PS. was this the screen had just collected when we met on the 2017 20CR?)
Martin
Seal came from Spitfirescheune in Germany. This guy sells always the best available stuff. Nice webpage with currently the restoration of a Herald Estate with compressor engine. Windscreen came from CC. Bought in 2008?? In 2017 I collected a Herald screen from Bastuck for the Estate. His shop was nearby where we met.
