    • And notice how generally shiite, on average the Scots are. In many places it's a lot worse and sadly not getting much better. And that is with an NHS spend per person being significantly higher than anywhere else in the UK. I guess our government has more important priorities to focus on. Historic witchery conviction pardons being one of them! But I digress....
    • Excellent Hamish. Both video and the drives. Almost makes me want to do it again myself! Hadn't really appeciated it before until I watched the Auto Shennanigans video, but now that drain cover on the inside of the right hander is a bit of a monster. Really notice it on your video when you clip it. I did see that the big single seater shown on Auto Shennanigans actively dodged it with his much stiffer suspension setup.
    • in England, 78.8 years for males and 82.8 years for females in Scotland, 76.5 years for males and 80.7 years for females in Wales, 77.9 years for males and 81.8 years for females in Northern Ireland, 78.4 years for males and 82.3 years for female Quote: Office for National Statistics; National life tables – life expectancy in the UK - Office for National Statistics Everywhere (not just UK) women live longer than men - on average. But, yes.  Sit down a lot, eat poor food, smoke at all or drink to excess, and your gender won't help.
    • Thanks Pete. The problem with that though John, is that while general biological health may provide better long term outcomes, if accompanied by continued relative inctivity sarcopena will eventually mean that you are consigned to a chair watching daytime TV because ther is unsufficient muscle strength to stand, let alone carry out basic funtions requring movement. There is no magic bullet but it would suggest that the best mix of probabilities comes from being a woman (actual woman) and remaining active.
    • Whilst at Shelsley I saw and took a picture of this bronze of Peter Collins a famous racer.   Seemed to recall a link to dad and shared the pic with my mum by email and she came back with the following  “Dad was at Bromsgrove with Peter Collins, in the same class. Both threatened with expulsion but Dad got away with it! They met up once by chance by the Boat Float. (Dartmouth) His parents had a large boat which was in the harbour at the time.We went to several of his races at Goodwood and Silverstone.”   ever the surprise !!
    • @Escadrille Ecosse Colin that's really hard, very sad. Sorry to hear of your experience. Best wishes mate
    • That is distinctly non-ideal Nick, sorry to hear. Parents have just been told the hospital will contact them in "about 7 days", with the advice that the bone might swim it's way back into place. So I suspect he's going to have to get used to having a wonky clavicle. We shall see
    • I'm holding off the initial watching, video is currently downloading so I have something to watch on my trip back from Nairobi! Looking forward to it 😁
    • Trouble is that gender trumps (sorry about that) activity.
