  1. Just what we need down here, even looks like they filmed their demos here, I've never seen scenery like that in Dorset. Craig, you could use it to shout at your students as they plummet to earth and pick them up when the wind whisks them away underneath their canopies. I foresee great tax deductions coming your way in the near future.
  2. Hi Lotus, sorry don't know your name, how long are the shafts? Post a pic maybe?
  3. Did like Donald Sinden a very dry comedian in his best roles. Ian Paisley, however, is another matter, his early rhetoric was "lowest common denominator" stuff. Can't say I know much about his politics over the last 40 years, must have revised his opinions if they made him a lord.
  4. Missed out. I was the losing bidder, went for $470k, probably $30 or 40k more than it should have. Bogan in a hoodie over a white cap bought it. Bloody bogans.
  5. Whoo-hoo! Enjoy! Off to the auction tomorrow. You never know, I might be planning a move to my own shed/garage tomorrow evening. SWMBO can take care of the house.
  6. Just watched your "first timed run" vid again, on the PC not the phone, cracked up when I saw you adjusting your rear vision mirror! Good stuff.
  7. Now I'm worried, I've a set of Canley's "fit and forget" trunnionless uprights, hub, uprated stub axle and even the "big brake kit", haven't fitted them only just taken out of their boxes for a look see. Will be watching the outcome/solution of/to your problem with great interest Chris.
  8. I can't believe how much space there is between the cylinders on the jag motor! Looks like they were planning on a high revving rebore for the future. Two part head, just like the original BDA, which came first? GT, did you go for polycarbonate windows to reduce weight?
  9. Whoo-hoo, you certainly sound like you enjoyed yourself. A bit of practice and fine tuning and you'll be knocking those Elans off top spot. 700Kg seems like a fairly good weight, I'll be happy if I can get mine down that far. Seems everywhere you go you come home with a medal! Glad you enjoyed it!
  10. Not trying to be a painful pedant here but I think I'd be trying to find out why they rub on one side and not the other.
  11. An annual fee sounds like the way to go but, as Nick points out, the value of the information here can only be measured by its usefulness to others, as such, Sideways shouldn't restrict access to any information as some sites do. You may, however, get the ISP to block that Chinese search engine if it's being profligate with bandwidth. Now, all I have to do is put something up that others find useful.
  12. 1988 vintage featuring a Gareth Thomas in a vitesse, is he GT? TR Drivers Club & Triumph Sports Six Challenge 19…:
  13. It's the same gross stupidity made by a government who encouraged everyone and their dog to buy hi pressure common rail turbo diesel engines then lament when their children get asthma & super winter viruses which defy treatment in big cities because of the excessively high levels of NO2 DCI cars produce. I guess that's why aqueous urea is being added to diesel exhaust gases, I think it, when used with another catalytic converter, reduces NO2 emissions by as much as 80%
  14. That's why I used it! Go hard or go home! Most of all, ENJOY!!!!!
  15. Lots of hillclimb video/audio needed, from inside and outside the beast! If there isn't any video it didn't happen! Ha ha. We also need the revised 0-60 time given it has its sticky boots on. Good luck!
  16. Bad luck there Nick. Settlement date, your completion date I guess, is written into Oz contracts, if either party hasn't done everything they need to by then, too bad. I've never had any problems buying or selling a house, I've used solicitors, but since they were allowed, I've stuck to specialist conveyancing firms when buying. I've done my own conveyancing when selling, it's a straightforward process here. Good luck, hope you get to use your new shed soon.
  17. Chris, I have a spare set of Canley's adjustable wishbones. I'd happily send them to you but it's likely to be 8 or more days before they'd get to you, too late for the hillclimb but well in time for the RBRR. Let me know if you want them.
  18. Do it, then it's done, but ..... how much more ooomph do you need, I imagine the smile on your face is big enough already? How are the heat and noise in the cabin? What you need now is a spares box for the RBRR, something to hold the bits and pieces you might need, making them easy to get to and, more importantly, stopping any annoying rattles.
  19. Warning - Thread Hijack, but still on the subject of houses, or rather, garages. I'm looking at buying another house, 1938, one owner, low mileage, packed with optional, Art Deco, extras. Enough of the stuff SWMBO likes, this is(are) the garage(s)... Apparently the old boy was a fitter/mechanic and had lathes and all manner of heavy machinery in his sheds, hence the solid concrete floors, the nooks and crannies, shelves, pigeon holes, not to mention multiple, but very old, power points at every turn. ......... and this is the view from the front yard ....... I quite like it too, the plan would be to add another storey to take advantage of it. Forgot to add, there's room for five cars on hard standing, mostly concrete, in front of the sheds.
  20. Lingotto test track? Do you know anything about the spoiler (air dam) on the Mk2 Spit?
  21. The tub's a little rough around the edges but it looks solid enough or is there something we can't see? Nice gift though, in boxes or not!
  22. If I recall correctly you were considering selling it as an unfinished project or breaking it. It's not quite finished, would you still sell it?
