Oh…. How (not very) nice….. Pleny of grim weather here lately but at least the precipitation at been mostly liquid phase….. (in my part of UK at least). Bit of a reminder on how important the Gulf Stream is to Northern Europe….. seeing as I’m 7 degrees further north than you and I’m pretty far south in the UK! Keep safe! Hope the disruption is not too severe or long lasting!

It’s not always obvious on the bench and it’s really hard to tell which side it is. Sometimes it’s both….

I have some 0.1mm shim washers which should do the job once I find them.  I'll have a look at the UJ while the driveshaft is on my workbench.  I recall it being fairly free, so sounds like it could do with a bit of shimming.

And the irony about a penguin in the Arctic 

This drove me to distraction (and a good few UJs) in my early years before clocking on to the problem.
