I live just 4 miles out side Uxbridge. But that is in West London UK. The weather is damp and fresh. Nothing like you are having. Good luck. Roger

it was taken there by Uber. It was invited to dinner by a local resident. Roger

I have some 0.1mm shim washers which should do the job once I find them. I'll have a look at the UJ while the driveshaft is on my workbench. I recall it being fairly free, so sounds like it could do with a bit of shimming.

This drove me to distraction (and a good few UJs) in my early years before clocking on to the problem. -

I think you're right about this, and it has some interesting parallels both in history and here in the UK. The Nazis got voted in democratically on about 30-odd% of the vote, in a similar situation where the political mainstream had completely failed to improve the situation and there was widespread voter abstention. Here in the UK, Reform has polled around 30% of the vote (though appears to be dropping now), and the fear is that the implosion of the Tories in 2024 and the currently-ongoing implosion of Labour will leave the majority of voters completely disenfranchised, and gift that ~30% of the population a Reform majority government. Time will tell if someone is able to instil a little vim into the rest of the voting population. -
Sorry, should have posted a couple of days ago. Found the place thanks to JohnD. I'm in Uxbridge, Ontario. Rural, farming area. About 40km N/E of Toronto. I don't know if it's part of winter storm Fern, but we're getting hammered at the moment. Power went off about 30 minutes ago. Had to go out and start the Genset to get some power back. After I dug the housing out of the snow. It's over 3' deep in spots out there right now. Snow is still coming down like a blizzard. And it's -15C. (Not sure what the wind chill is.) No, I can't say I'm having fun but the internet is still connected, I've got most lights and heat. No water until the power comes back. Take care, anyone else in similar weather conditions!
