Leaving the political stramash to one side for a bit, I got the modified mould done. The surface finish isn't perfect, it could really do with another pattern/mould cycle but it will do. Just means the CF part will need a bit of extra polishing. If I ever need to make another then it would be a short job to make a new mould. However there was a brief spell of relatively benign weather that would let me get outside and spray gelcoat so time was pressing. Clear gelcoat on yesterday and laid up carbon and infusion layers this afternoon. Only need the one side so only made up half the mould. Hopefully get the resin infusion done tomorrow.

Bonnet progress . 3” exhaust has finally turned up and black open wheel nuts should be in tomorrow .  The Wilwood brake cylinder was found to be leaking so a fresh one has been ordered . starting to look nearly finished !! will be trailered to the electricians within the next couple of weeks . Still waiting on a price from him .

Watched YouTube shed racing the Ivan Dutton channel and he mentioned having a salmson 1920’s twin cam head laser welded.  May be worth contacting them. As they do Bugatti stuff that’s rare and valuable.  https://www.duttonbugatti.co.uk
