This! Finding it difficult to reconcile the apparent absence of any grip with occasional tyre smoke…. -
enjoyed watching this, old cars, thin tyres and a bit of rain, some great car control!

Indeed . I think they intend to construct removable ally covers for either side of the boor

That looks well constrained to my eye (assessing through my screen). Some brush based draft excluder type seals to minimise road grime being flung into the boot could be an idea to consider?

No good updates on the engine swap. Had a chance to think about it while on holiday and it needs dismantling again, as the crank is too tight (can't turn it very easily even without the pistons fitted). Spoke with the machinist and he offered some useful pointers and a kind offer to help sort this. Hope to get down to block & crank stage again tonight to assess what is binding. Main suspect is the thrust faces on the middle main bearing. Tightness is even throughout the rotation, so crank being bent seems unlikely. Will report back when I know more......

Frustratingly the MOD banned any form of filming at Portreath as part of the permission to use the venue. I have some Go-Pro footage of the recent visit to Llandow which I'll try & provide a link to in the next few days. I quite like using the videos to see where I can shave a bit of time off!
