    • Oh yeah…. Man of his time, so probably he was by today’s definition…. FWIW. Pretty much irrelevant to the Just So stories though.
    • And another! Sensational reports yesterday from Grundavik in Iceland of new eruptions, described here with local knowledge and expertise, with drone footage of the new cracks of doom:
    • Saw a nice mk3 today, GTs are rare over here.
    • Egret Your water pump pully size is confusing me, are you sure about the water pump pully size?  My water pump pully outside diameter is 5.25" (133.4mm), and both of my old surplus pumps are the same. Crank outside diameter is 5.85" (148.6mm), and Alternator outside diameter is 2.55" (65mm) So if your crank pully is smaller than mine it would rotate the water pump pully slower, and if water pump pully is bigger the pump itself would rotate even less.
    • And thank you, Nick! My birthday was marked by a trip to Lunnun, to visit Son & Family, who took me to the theatre, to see Richard 2 at the Bridge.   Wonderful production, outstanding acting, it convinced me that Shakespeare was not being a Tudor propagandist, out to justify their legitimacy as successors to the House of Lancaster, but that Richard really was a sh1t king, who deserved to be usurped.     In  modern dress, with much Cabinet-type intrigue and flourishing of folders rather than rapiers, a la The Thick of It, it was full of modern meaning.    My children, and their partners, know what I enjoy! It will be further marked this week  by my performance as the Mystery Reader to my youngest grandson's school class.  I have the Second Album problem - last time it was The Elephant's Child,  which surprised his teachers as they consider Kipling a reactionary imperialist - this time, dahlings,  I shall be giving them my Pooh Bear and the Bees.  John
    • The lower return pipe to the water pump is a stainless replacement, and I'm pretty sure it had no restriction on the T bypass feed from manifold. Tossed the old pipe that had welded itself to the water pump compression nut fitting, so not sure if it had a restriction built-in. Could easily add a restriction on the upper manifold coolant pipe T made out of 1/2" copper fittings, can't hurt to try anything new. It's a future project to clean up the plumbing in that area, so I will add that to the list of improvements. I do wish to maintain the manifold coolant pipe and improve its surface area contact with the lower intake manifold, so I have not deleted it.
    • GT6 earning its keep by taking me to work…. looking like a kids pedal car in the car park….
    • Correct decision IMHO and I’m pleased to see it.   Not sure why that was felt necessary. Perfectly acceptable to have a member-only area, just not to move an ongoing discussion relevant to all users to it!
    • I was surprised that the member vote went with the forum opinion to have it free to access.  it has meant some changes and a deletion of member only topic area.    so yeah some teething issues but on the whole moving in a positive direction.    which also means there won’t be a mass exodus on to here.
