Hello When I was Apprentice I worked in a boiler house that was having lagging stripped off and I mixed up Asbestos(we called it monkey muck!) So at 80 this year I am not to worried but thanks for your concern. Roger ps Spitty is trying to kill us most times when we go out in it(not going to stop us !) pps Spain booked for June and looking at going again it September but need to check insurance although we have no problems(thankfully) but most do not like over 80's!! ppps Its a bugger getting old so my advice is do not put things off when you can afford them(next year maybe to late?) -
At it again, most expensive movement yet to this is an ETA 2824, 28,000 beats per hour, mega accurate. Work in progress, I've learnt to walk away and come back, rushing ends up with tiny components flying around the room.

Roger, I am sure you know teh dangers etc, but please please: Wash the clothes you were wearing, by themselves, several times Wash the vacuum throughly, especially any filters Clean up the workshop area with wet cloths, dispose of them with care. Not so worried about you (sorry), more your offspring.....

Not been a great week for household electricals….. Computer monitor suddenly went dark in mid-flight and shows no sign of life whatever. It’s only about 4 years old. Tested the cables with its predecessor (which is one of the first flat screen monitors ever, over 20 years old), which immediately sprang into life. Can’t even work out how to get into the newer one so I’ve taken the lazy option and replaced it with a bigger one. Shameful really….. Meanwhile, the washing machine has given up spinning. Usually this is a sign it either wants the pump cleaning out or new brushes. Symptoms are different this time though. It’s very old (about 150 in washing machine years) and very noisy so there’s a lobby that thinks it’s time has come….. we’ll see. -

I'm in the 'can't stand wagos' camp I'm afraid. Perhaps it's just the quality of them that I've inherited from the PO of our house, but I've yet to find ones that will actually grip a wire properly (or let go when you ask it to). -
I love Wago’s. They can handle the vibration of a road hardened Vespa and not drop a wire. Can confirm they’ll hang onto a ferrule.

Day 17 Got some work to do this weekend. This is my current “Mobile office” collection/setup. I chuckle when clients complain lugging their laptops around.
