yorkshire_spam
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has any comparative opinions on the relative quality of sill panels available for the Spitfire? As far as I can see my choices are "unbranded", "Magnum", "Steel Craft" or "Heritage" I don't mind paying more if the product is worth it... what I do mind is missing out on a bargain :-)
Nick Jones
Buy the Heritage ones. The others are crap. Even the Heritage ones are a bit narrow at the back..... Nick
yorkshire_spam
Thanks Nick. Anyone ever heard of LCM panels? Edited October 26, 2019 by yorkshire_spam
mattius
I thought Heritage bought out steelcraft? and bumped up the price I have both, tbh none of them are perfect, but Heritage were better, and not really worth mentioning but they also seemed to have a better coating on them, the steelcraft ones didn't store well. JMH
Probably all made by Taylor Pressform https://www.taylorpressform.co.uk/ Might even do the Heritage panels for BMH with BMH's own tooling... Have worked with both OE and Steel Craft outer sills, always go for OE...
