Thanks. I've looked into this and I'm pretty sure this is not DaveNotSoSideways. The chap you have mentioned is in the USA. I have the real Dave's full name from his activity many years ago but if he doesn't use it here, I'll not doxx him. Still gathering info to make a more comprehensive post soon.

Pater (thank you!) There has been an occasional contributor here, using the name "SpitfireBGT". He might be Dave Sideways, his avatar looks similar.

Once, I lived and worked in Bath. Watching the kayakers shooting the cascade under Pulteney Bridge was a regular summer occupation.

Another car that was born from a commercial was the Mirov 2: The 'car' in the ad was just a bodyshell, built in six weeks, plonked on top of a kit car chassis, just for filming. In fact two, that were later bought by Brian Thompson, and rebuilt over many years into a working, usable car: He published an account of his project, which is a useful guide to car modification techniques: As they say, Технолóгия для Прогрєсса! Very grand Nick. Bath is quite impressive. Do they still have the 'danger of death, do not touch the water' sign at the baths? Got told off for disobeying last (couple) of visits -

Yeah, wondered that myself. From the brief glimpse it doesn't look standard. Interior is very nice. Was my initial assumption, until I saw the rev counter! -

Wow! 5 years ago too. Can’t find much else on it online apart from this https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3823583734321185&vanity=100057476597454&http_ref=eyJ0cyI6MTc2NDUwMjc4NDAwMCwiciI6Imh0dHBzOlwvXC93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbVwvIn0%3D (actual Facebookers may be able to see more) This confirms it’s 2L (I was betting on 2.5 myself!) and mentions the TSSC magazine article? You couldn’t pick a much harder car to do. Space for belt shenanigans and heat exchangers is severely limited. I mean, if that one on the top is the intercooler….. where’s the radiator?! Serious build for sure. Wonder what it’s got for transmission…..? -

And thank you for that Hamish. Again a couple in there, including the six wheeler I had forgotten about form the dim and distant past.
