Jony
just noticed this GT6 on the bay with 'audi style rear shafts' and has the roto bottom arms but still using the spring? thoughts? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Triumph-GT6-Mk3-1972-Near-Complete-Restoration-/320557355450?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4aa2b511ba
Nick Jones
Driveshaft looks like a variant of the Bowler/Jones one - basically the roto setup with CV shaft and maybe a modern bearing. Could be the Jigsaw one - I have heard they use VAG parts but I don't know whether they machine out the vertical link or use the Triumph hub and bearing. I completely don't understand why someone would put all that effort into restoring a car then try to offload it "with just a few simple jobs" remaining. Finish it and get the best price! Makes me wonder what it's really like (nasty cynic that I am). Be interesting to see if he gets any takers at that price. I'm sure he's spent far more but 5k would buy you a very decent finished GT6. No overdrive (or 5 speed) either. Nick
