Interesting, though Sideways is an open minded forum, it appears that the TriumphExp.com site is not. I posted a link to this thread for anyone interested in seeing what others might think and the moderator blocked my post. I see this as simple and clear censorship. As such, I have removed myself from automatic annual monetary support of the site. Others might feel the same. Steve

I gather “new” wheels are on the agenda. 14” Compomotive. 6” wide, ET approximately 23. Need to guess the tyre size best suited now. 195/60 is too big! -
Thank you. I'm not worried the weld might fail, just that there's a dirt and corrosion trap that I'd like to eliminate. Waxoyl is a good idea, this is what it's designed for.

Just give them a squirt of a Waxoyl type spray. The welding looks fine. Roger

It keeps getting better. Tuning is slowly improving the various areas of operation. I got some Koni dampers for the rear (moss are still selling theses relatively cheap) and the welding isn't brilliant so I think I'm going to apply something to keep the road grime out of the nooks. I was thinking of using some silicone, or epoxy, but is that a silly idea?
