Lower A arm lighter than the original GT6 arm but does not need a radius rod so definitely lighter . hub , bearing , disc and caliper all MGF .

Hi . Happy to pay for a good 3 1/2 “ wheel . Thanks . A bottom fabricated A arm . Odd design made out of left over ally tube from patent ideas . Should be stable enough to hold the rear wheels on their own but those top arm tubes will also have a strip welded joining the pair . Even without those strips there should not be any front/rear movement because they are linked at both ends by the diff plate and hub bracket .

Bit the bullet and bought a new one from a European supplier, fairish price when you convert to GBP and what the UK suppliers are asking and no random brexit customs tax to pay the postie as they import them. Need to have a rake through my fittings for a 90 tank output as that's something I've been meaning to do for ages. -
That's a very interesting build. I can see that you have adopted twin arms with rod ends for the top element of the rear suspension, mounted inboard onto the top of the diff. Your post of 22 Feb shows some of your thoughts and development of the arrangement. As the rod ends will allow articulation, what provides fore and aft location for the vertical link? Are you using a rotaflex or fabricated bottom wishbone? Ian

I’m fairly certain but would have to check that I have a few in the barn with tyres on that would be fine as a spare tyre. -

Potentially stupid question but it’s one I’m currently trying to be careful on is, aren’t you by changing the rear suspension going to need an IVA as the only original part left on the point system is the chassis? Only reason I point it out is a friend fell foul of it and hadn’t done an IVA someone went into the back of him badly and poof magically his insurance was invalid on inspection.
