What to buy

Recommended Posts

Hi Fivefinger,

Welcome......

Do you have a favourite look?  Roundtail - being a mk1 or Mk2, or squaretail - being a Mk3?

Roundtails are tending to command higher prices and are certainly harder to find, especially the Mk1.  Also, what are you thinking of using it for?  What kind of budget available?

As for what to watch out for........  Rust..... anywhere between the bumpers..... and accident damage.

Nick

Not sure if your looking to buy a good car or something to restore?

But if buying and you don't know the mark well

Get someone who knows small triumphs to take a look if you find what you think you are looking for.  If its good it won't be cheap, if its cheap it may be expensive, if its expensive it may not be good.

If you looking for one to restore

Double the cost, double the time, you think it will take, and you'll be about half way there
