greeneggsnsam
Hello all! I'm Sam, and as you might have guessed I'm a Spitfire 1500 owner: I bought it a year ago and I've loved every minute of it. I really love the feeling classics give you when driving, how well connected they are to the driver. I also run Unlimited Mileage, a car and classic car website, with my brother. GT6Steve
Welcome Sam! That rearview of the car was the image that decided the purchase of my MKIV in 1973. After two months of searching Brit cars in San Diego that view was the sale. I almost bought the GT6 but it ran out of gas on the test drive! LOL, my shipmate wrecked that same car on a test drive two weeks later. Presumably with a full tank of gas.
Aar0sc
I don't know this car or owner.... Seen here, at Goodwood, just before Christmas: Has a lovely rear numberplate that I totally didn't break
greeneggsnsam
It just has a slightly wobbly "P", that's all
Aar0sc
I've just noticed that your exhausts are as off-centre as mine!
greeneggsnsam
They look particularly bad in that photo, but they are off-centre, yes. I didn't fit them myself, and they are working fine, so I'm not fixing what isn't broken!

greeneggsnsam
Speaking of which, I've just fixed the Speedometer. At the same time, despite me not knowing what I've done, the choke cable now stays pulled out when I want it to.
MissGT6
I've got Triumph tune exhausts on my GT6, they are too, slight off centre Drives me absolutely mad. Before I bought the GT6 I LOVED! them ... now I'm not quite so sure and I do have an original Mk.1 item in my shed but don't like the look of those on the car. Anyways, Sam your Spit looks lovely
