    • Hello, I have just had a NEW set of Bilstein shocks re valved for the rear of the car. More information after I receive and fit/try them! Also cut and fitted another set of springs (45 lbs. stronger @472 lbs.) Regards, Michael.
    • The CSCC has announced the programme of Swinging 60s  race series: I can't say how many of these I will take part in, but it will be as many as possible, and of course it includes other Triumphs and is only for cars whose model dates from the 60s, so lots to see and enjoy for Sidewaysers! John
    • Also exhaust nearly there . we have decided that a longer 4” road version can be switched in to the joint at the front of the 6” with a kink in the pipe bringing it closer in to the bodywork . Hopefully it should work . As usual , time will tell .
    • Skodog is still dragging itself around. Or I hope it is, as it’s currently serving a courtesy car to Senior Management while I fix the little blue bastard (TT) again. It did put its check engine light on at the beginning of the week then refused to speak to my (ancient) scan tool. Had to buy another scan tool. Turns out the light was due to no 4 glow plug being “faulty”, though I reset the code and it hasn’t returned so not that faulty apparently! Odd.
    • Good evening boys . Two extinguisher outlets in engine bay and one each for driver and passenger .
    • It got worse…. …..became necessary to remove the steering lock assembly from the column. Much dismantling needed to give space to drill the security bolts out. Not entirely sure what the root cause of the problem was but I think a combination of old grease and cold weather causing the steering lock mechanism to hang half way.  Very difficult to dismantle the lock assembly when it’s jammed. “Turn to ignition-on position and withdraw barrel” is tricky when ignition on position cannot be achieved even with key present.  Fortunately lots of jiggling and percussive persuasion did unjam it long enough to get it done. It is resolved now. Fortunately it all went back together with much less argument than the disassembly process.  Too bloody cold for working outside though. Fired it up to test everything still works (it does) and it started beeping and flashing the coolant low warning. Coolant wasn’t very low….. but I fear it’s planning its next trick.  It needs to be careful if it wants to live! Maybe it needs a scrapyard run to remind it what happens to naughty cars…..
    • Vorsprung durch technic. Naturlich
    • Little sod is at it again….. ignition key doesn’t turn. “They all do that sir!”
    • following the dragster theme, as its very cold outside (0C in Cambridge, sure its colder up North) just been watching some very mad drag racing on ice...
    • That doesn't ever go out of fashion either
