Alternator alternatives for GT6

Dear sages of Triumph,

Has anyone come up with a suitable Denso/Japanese alternator for a six cylinder engine? I'm going to do a dynamo to alternator swap anyway and wondered if there was one of those neat little 50A units that would go without too much aggravation. Somewhere in the back of my memory is a Suzuki Swift unit, but I might have imagined that.

I followed it.. I'm sure others will comment on this but this is the way I did it. underslung but mainly the same. Very worthwhile upgrade IMHO.

Ah, well found!

Worth mentioning that the genuine Nippon Denso ones are worth seeking out and paying a bit more for.

There are quite a few other possibilities out there, the little ND is about the smallest.  Generally found on the Kubota 3 pot diesels used in mini diggers etc.
