Hello All

I thought I would replace the seat belt guides on Spitty for some aluminium ones as seen on Fleabay

But then I thought £34 and the poor pensioner mode kicked in!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I bought 30mm x 10mm 400mm strip of aluminium for £8!!

I then spent the next 3 days making them (not 8 hour days more like 3 to 4 hours)

So I recon I have been working for less than £2 an hour!(But I am waiting for our son to pop around to give me a lift to get the gearbox back)

I removed it on my own but putting back is harder!

So it was not wasted time!

You may wonder why I reduced the belt guide bit(I have not got and end mill or slot mill that long so I machined the slot from both sides

Hello Nick

Is the Vitesse the 2 post type?

They do those as well I made 2 for the red Vitesse but made sure I removed them before I sold it(just need to find where I put them!)

Roger

Ps this time tomorrow I will be knackered after gearbox fitting!

Just remembered the Vitesse has MGF seats!

I have something a bit similar which is just a piece of plastic conduit tube with holes for the head-rest posts.  The belt just goes over it and it stops the belt pulling down on the shoulder.  It works to an extent but needs improving and I like yours, though I wonder if the end needs to have some movement (swivel?)

Hello Nick

I do not think so but you could make it a bit longer and a longer slot
