foshi Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 hi the bond i acquired came in bits gt4 getting to the point of repaint, any idea what rear screen rubber was used, was it only on the bond or other triumph models . not having much joy finding one paul.
Escadrille Ecosse Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Don't know. The screen looks a bit like the GT6 but given that it predates that by a few years it won't be that. The alternative is to get some window rubber moulding and make your own. There a a couple of different profiles available that should do the job. Try these guys https://www.rubbertrim.co.uk/
Nick Jones Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Another https://coh-baines.co.uk/ Do you have the old one for comparison?
Hamish Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 I used these guys to find trim for my 3a hardtop you have to look at everything though as it may be listed differently to what’s fitted https://phoenixtrim.co.uk/contact-us-2-w.asp
foshi Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 problem is i have no old to compare, no idea of profile . wonder if someone has an old bit of gt6 i can try . definitely not the same as front . paul
Escadrille Ecosse Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Have you a photo of the window aperture profile??
Nick Jones Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Is the screen bigger than the hole or a few mm smaller all round?
GT6Steve Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 A quick glance thru the Courier archives indicated that the rear glass was a custon spec for Bond

Good thing as the seal on that will only need one join, not 4! I reckon that once the profile is identified you could just buy a length and cut/glue as required. Looking at the blue car I reckon the profile could well be the same as the GT6 one. Give COH Baines a ring...... or failing that, someone like Dale at Moordale Motors.
mpbarrett Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 might be worth asking on the TSSC forum. There is a Bond specialist and a section in the mag just for Bonds. Contact details below (image from magazine PDF).
