Escadrille Ecosse Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Folks, I'll put up more detail on the project page later but in the meantime can anyone with an early Spitfire Mk's 1-3 fitted with a steel front valence be kind enough to measure and let me know the two dimensions of the top flange shown in the pic. I'm trying to sort the mould for making one for my car but the only reference I have are some fairly questionable GRP ones from the like of Honeybourne. This one is making my head hurt Thanks in advance
sparky_spit Posted September 6, 2021 Posted September 6, 2021 Hi Colin, just had a look at mine (1968 Mk3 Spitfire) and A = 30mm, B = 47mm. That includes several resprays worth of paint on the front surface and edge. Hope this helps - Mike
Escadrille Ecosse Posted September 6, 2021 Author Posted September 6, 2021 Mike, thank you that's brilliant.
