hardhatharry Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Something I have aspired to but didn't actually I would achieve, I have managed to acquired a totally UK built 4 wheel vehicle fleet. Triumph Spitfire > Coventry MG TF > Longbridge Vauxhall Vivaro > Luton Range Rover Evoque > Liverpool (new purchase) It goes without saying I am in the AA
Nick Jones Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Not sure whether to congratulate or commiserate Will be interesting to see how the reliability league table goes! Possible to add Honda, Toyota and Nissan to the list of UK build.

For now Thinking about it, my first seven cars were British-built - Moggie Traveller, Ford Fiasco, Metro, Ford Crapi 1.6, Metro (once evidently not enough...), Montego, 'B GT. They were all heavily used, but, excluding punctures, the first car to break down and leave me stranded (repeatedly) was the eighth, a Citroen BX. Fabulous car. When it worked.
Nick Jones Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 My first non-British car was an early Fiat X1/9...... You can probably guess how that went.....

My first few vehicles were all Italian scooters. The first one covered more miles being pushed than it ever did under its own power. Now I'm 100% Triumph transport - Spitfire, 1300FWD, and push-bike for daily use. I believe the bicycle was made by Raleigh, so my fleet all hail from the midlands - east or west.
hardhatharry Posted October 24, 2020 Author Posted October 24, 2020 Not exactly a quest but a nice to have
