GT6MK3 Posted January 21, 2019 Author Posted January 21, 2019 Day 21. (Slight cheat here - it was taken Saturday, but the photographer only sent it to me today. I reckon I'll send this to any members who object to moderation decisions...)
Hamish Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 The morning after the night before. VB will do that to you if you drink enough of it.
David Butterworth Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Quote Not my idea of fun Nick, i sh*t myself just thinking of flying never mind jumping out of one. Dave
GT6MK3 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 Day 22. Stinking hot train to the city office.
Nick Jones Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 Humans being transported in conditions that would be illegal for livestock...…. Cooler here. Roof of Soot Monster at 7.45 this morning . Rained then froze - whole car coated in ice. Roads interesting, especially since Somerset County Council have cut back on gritting so they can afford their £ 10m office revamp...…… more Tories who forget what they are for
GT6MK3 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Posted January 22, 2019 Was surprised how hot it was on the Underground in London back in October. Melbourne trains today we’re doing their best with aircon, but losing badly. Was pretty unoccupied at my travel time though. Suspect Soot Monster is jealous of the lucky locally born cars hiding indoors.

Has spent about 3 nights of it's existence in a garage during my ownership (while in bits for one reason or another) and I don't think the either of the previous owners garaged it either. More of a problem when parked in the sun in the summer - it gets REALLY hot even in UK conditions. And now the air-con is deceased..... It's always hot on the London underground. I really hate to imagine what is mixed with the "air" down there!

GT6MK3 Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Day 23. Continuing the public transport theme. Getting off the tram near home for the last leg of a 5 train, 1 tram, 6 hour journey around the city. Should have driven...
Nick Jones Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Must have been bad, your stuffing seems to be leaking out of your ears...….
GT6MK3 Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 AirPods Bud. They’ve only been on the market for a couple of years now. (I’m occasionally amazed that you early adopted megasquirt.) ;-) C.

It's really out of date now though. Only MS2 and still on B & G firmware. But it works. Perfectly. No bugginess as experienced with the Extra firmware used on the PI. I hate in-ear things. Have some nice over-ear headphones though. And it really does look like something is leaking out of your ears
GT6MK3 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Day 24. 8:50pm. Currently 38 Celsius (just over the ton in Fahrenheit), due to be 45c and windy tomorrow. Mystery bags on the barbie, coldies in the fridge. Gets much hotter my brain _will_ leak out my ears.
Hamish Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 I remember driving across the Nullabor plain in my ‘73 ford falcon. No air con !! Probably the hottest I’ve ever been. Opening the window only made it worse. Thought I could cool down with a cold shower at Norseman / coolgardie only to be told there isn’t any cold water however long you run the tap. As it a massive above ground water pipe from Perth. Only dipping underground at road junctions etc. Hope you have aircon at home !

JohnD Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Enough with the meteorological bragging! We had a bracing -3C yesterday, a light dusting of snow, a brilliant blue sky and sun. To be honest, I'd rather be cold with a prospect of warmth, than dripping hot. And we saw the total lunar eclipse, which I don't think you did, as it happened whilst you were sweltering under that big yellow lamp in the sky! John
GT6MK3 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 Yep, the grass is often greener. good news is they’ve wound tomorrow’s expected top down from 45 to a balmy 41. Bad news is that it’s 31 at a little after midnight, and that’s it for the night...
Nick Jones Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 31C at midnight is rough....... 6C and drizzling here.
GT6MK3 Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 Day 25. 42.8c. 50 minute drive through heavy stop start traffic in an unairconditioned van. Awesome...
Nick Jones Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 That is too hot...... At least it's a white van...... (black car owner with busted AC!)
