Sticking a rubber seal to rear windscreen glass

I need to restick a rubber seal onto the bottom edge of the rear windscreen of our modern 'foldy roof' Focus where it has started to peel away at each end of the windscreen. The rubber seal faces that are stuck to the glass are essentially the inside of an 'L' shape. I was thinking of silicone sealant, or possibly rubber cement/glue as used on bicycle inner tubes.

Has anyone any thoughts, or better ideas?
