Spray Primer Advice

Hi all

I sprayed the Vitesse Chassis, doors and front bulk head years ago in cellulose and now need to paint the bonnet, boot, rear tub etc. Most parts are still in bare metal. Previously I think I used Bonda Rust Primer with Zinc, which I thinned down and sprayed, bonding well to the bare metal panels. I have since heard somewhere that you should't spray this because of the Zinc content, at the time I would have used a carbon mask. As this is a DIY job I am not getting involved with 2K so was wondering what others have used. I know they do a 1K etch or 1k Epoxy primer but not sure which one to go with. Any ideas?

Start with the etch, then the epoxy.  The zinc can't be that big an issue as my local paint supply place sells it in aerosols.  Zinc content certainly helps keep the rust out.
