Larry Porter Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 New guy here from Texas. I've been following several threads for a while. I like the ingenuity of the members here. I am building a convertible GT6 mk2 and am finding good info here. Maybe, just maybe I can contribute something in the future!
Nick Jones Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Welcome Larry I find pictures are good way of getting peoples attention...... Nick
Larry Porter Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Building a convertible GT6 rotoflex car with a Spitfire mk3 tub. Started by stripping and painting chassis. Then I finished the front suspension and brakes. Working on the rear now. Have a Datsun 510 diff to install as well.
Nick Jones Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Recipe sounds good! I see you have been investing with Canley Classics? Nick
Larry Porter Posted June 17, 2015 Author Posted June 17, 2015 Yeah, I think they have a plaque on the wall at Canley with my name on it.
GT6MK3 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 G'Day and Welcome Larry. Thanks for (Gratuitous reference to your user icon) "Ponying up" the dough for a Supporter membership. Long may we avoid needing ads to exist! Build quality looks great, keep hitting us up with photos. I'm working on a Mk3 tub onto GT6 running gear too, but will probably be putting a CV conversion with a "Marcus" twist under it. Craig
Larry Porter Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Sounds good. I have the Canley cv axles and will probably have to use them, as no MGFs here. I have 2 of the Rocky rear plates for the r160, but need to make spacers between diff and axles. Anyone have specs on those? Thanks. ps Should I move this conversation to a different forum?
