motov8id Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) I came across this on the Britishv8 site. GRP over a homemade plywood mold. I like the shape. It would look good with a MK1 bumper. It's a Jag v12 drive train in a mostly remade chassis. Edited January 30, 2013 by motov8id
Aar0sc Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I find the wheels horrific, but a Jaguar V12? In a Spitfire?! The Jag V12's huge! The distributor's as big as my hand!!!
motov8id Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 the number of people with over the top creation on the web is endless
CHRIS211083 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 A v12??? Bet it weighs alot. Good luck at the first corner. Maybe its a drag car? Each to there own. Chris.
Aar0sc Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 All aluminium block and heads I think Chris. Never done any work on ours. Having said that I imagine probably still pretty heavy!!!
motov8id Posted January 31, 2013 Author Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) I like his front valance any opinions? also the v12 is 5.3L iron block alloy heads. Weighing 700 lbs. I think the metric equivalent is 57 stones. that's heavy Edited January 31, 2013 by motov8id
Aar0sc Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I like the way you've converted from imperial to imperial But yeah, f-ing heavy!!!
pomwah Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 About half the weight of an early spit. 318kg.
GT6Jason Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I think the handling characteristics of a car with the top of the cage being equal to the top of the carb intake will be interesting to say the least. Visibility? front heavy? Cooling issues? I like the really bad ass look, love the front valance as well. But lets just say I'm glad my wallet will not be in charge of sorting out the driveablity issues. I don't think anyone could doubt this car will be FAST in a straight line. Like Chris, I would not look forward to entering turn 1. Jason Ostrowski Friendly Ghost Racing
