smithy Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Characteristic lack of uppercase, sounds like an alcoholics anonymous speech, whinging in the 1st post - yep, I'd say that's our boy Jony. ;-)
smithy Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Why 'never mind' mate - are you thinking 'There goes the neighbourhood'? ;D Nice to have him about, no? Here's hoping he starts a short thread about his car being completed....

c20spit Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 i might start a long thread about not completing a car. xx hugs and kisses xx
mattius Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 lol the never ending spit, dave better watch out you may take the title off him.
Dicky Blighter Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Hello Ray - still building cars in your slippers? See you are now a guest user elsewhere
c20spit Posted January 28, 2008 Author Posted January 28, 2008 i reckon i started not finishing a car before dave started not finishing one. slippers are doing fine, i'm going to put a recording of the car on youtube soon then people can at least see that it does run even if it doesn't move.
DaveNotSoSideways Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Battle on! We can race to the finish?
SteveA Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 Hi Ray, good to see you're still going. Dave has created a section all for you Engine Swaps so you can tell us all again about the fun you have been having with your Spitfire (cool)
lordleonusa Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 So, before you guys claim longest running restoration, how long has it been? I started 'restoring' my Vitesse, Wednesday 27th June 1984, 'finished' it Friday 18th April 1997. : Taking the start date as when the first chassis was delivered, and the end date as when I drove the car. Of course, it has never really been 'finished' as I have been modifying and improving it ever since. ;D Léon
GHR630 Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 I started the restoration/rebuild of my GT6 29/05/1990 and it was MOT'd on 8/08/2005!! Still not really finished as I am always "improving " things!
c20spit Posted January 31, 2008 Author Posted January 31, 2008 i'm only a junior, i think this is my third winter on axle stands.THERE WILL NOT BE A FOURTH.
