Millstone10 Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Hi all Just a note to say hello to the forum. Ive been looking for a while and wishing that Id known even a tiny bit of the knowledge flying around within when I got my first Spit IV in 1985. Since then Ive pretty well always had some sort of spit or GT6, but usually in some sort of disrepair, rebuild and very occasionally even on the road! I now have a pretty sound GT6 convertible (MkII GT6/MkIII Spit) , made up of 3 donors. It was rebuilt very nicely by Southern Triumph in Brighton in 2001 when I had some money. It has recently migrated to Sunny Perth WA (Not Scotland as you probably realised from the first descriptive word...) and after being locked away in storage for 4 years has even allowed me to come too. Pic I'm looking forward to finishing it off and doing some tweeks like megasquirt and sorting the Phoenix 6-3-1 (nono) Ive just received a copy of GT's manual (Thanks Dave!) so the list of things to to has just doubled. Cheers all, looking forward to learning and joining in

Millstone10 Posted March 4, 2009 Author Posted March 4, 2009 Hi Gerrard It is in Cannaught green, a Jaguar colour I was told. Im not sure about that but I liked it. Looks almost black in low light before turning deep green in sunlight. Unfortunately it was mostly black while in the UK but is now mostly green here in WA (sunny) Unfortunately one of the disadvantages of the expat life is the GT6 sitting in a garage since 03 waiting for a run...
