Measure for GT6 needed

The Mad Welder has been attacking my GT6 recently. The car has been rearended at some time in its life, and the repair has been very crude. Mostly been beaten with a BFH and then touched up with a few pounds of filler.

This is the present condition

The rear valance is being replaced, and this seems like a good opportunity to rectify errors made in the past. The valance has not yet been permanently fitted, but is here for measuring.

SO THIS IS WHAT I NEED

What is the distance from the outer edge of the rear valance to where the roofline ends on the valance? Like this:

OK - thanks guys. Present it is abiyut 1.5".  So quite a bit of work is needed.

I think I agree that the lesser is better here. So 1/2 will be the target. Though it is the art of the possible..... :-/

I removed half a ton of filler from the front last night. apart from being a bitch of a job it was revealed that the front has been severely bodged. No pics as yet. But it isn't pretty :o

Cheers

What is it about GT6s and frontal impacts? I found evidence of three whacks to the nose of my GT6. Two repaired with some skill and a lot of filler, the third untouched. It was like dating a tree by its rings...

The paint shop say they can shrink the metal and repair it properly - I'm flying up to check on Tuesday.

Well - the impact isn't the problem. The reapir is awfull. What was missing in skill was applied with a very heavy hammer instead.

Whoever did this was goimng by the pårinciple hit hard - hit several times - and fill it up.

Cheers
