Couldn’t see if he was wearing sandals on the run itself.

footwell looks to be adequately ventilated as well, maybe he's got one of those stubborn fungus infestations

I'm pretty sure he was, which is surprising. From recent experience I know Haven holiday parks won't let your kid drive a 4mph buggy with open-toed footwear, I'd have thought Swiss hill climbs would have similar rules!

The Swiss are quite quirky like that. Very controlling about some things and surprisingly laid back about others. 
 

Reckon I’d have been wearing more substantial footwear in that thing though…. Fireproof even!
