Nick Jones
Some of you may have known George Ralph, Dorset based GT6 enthusiast. Sadly I have to tell you that he died on 5th October. George had a dark green GT6 mk1 which he restored, modified, hillclimbed, modified some more, did the occasional track day and finally discovered drag racing. Apparently he managed a full season without breaking any transmission components. I was more than surprised. He admitted he needed (a lot) more power. Fairly early the following season he contacted me about CV conversion parts (he had the original Bowler set from Mattius’ car) as he’d just broken an outer CV…. I think he went on to have an expensive year! I do know that he did enjoy the drag racing though. https://santapod.co.uk/entrylistdetail18.php?ID=1405&Event=MainEvent&Page=mainevent18entrylist&Class=TFFIM http://retro-motoring.com/events/VW-Action-2017/picviewer.php?file=IMG_1560 RIP George….
