  8. That’s looking really good. The guys who did my garage alterations -small extension covered the osb board with the modern fabric type membrane used on roofs as a felt alt. Breathable and water resistant. battenned and boarded over the top.

  11. Sorry I had to vent somewhere and at the risk of offending people that might be on both forums or actually be a poor pensioner. some wingeing on another site about no private members area and the increase in membership fees ( all put to the vote I might add) but to threaten to stop being a member because you are now a pensioner is - err annoying to me………. as in the profile they have a collection of classic cars and bikes (non essentials) that obviously have a home somewhere ?! “Currently a 1960 TR3a and a 1979 Dolomite 1300. Also have a 1938 Hillman 14 (awaiting patiently for restoration, been 30 years already), and a 1948 Hillman Minx (restored many years ago but last used 1990). Had a 1968 Austin A35 van,( now sold), and a 1970 Triumph Vitesse convertible ( now sold). Also a collection of various grey porridge BSA m/cycles.” pensioners are some of the wealthiest people I know! Both money and property/space and free time.
  12. Useful tip - that they can blow out. looks like a fiat ducato van type ? Off to southwest on friday so fingers crossed for the weather
  13. My dad use to love quoting an local paper advert rehoming dog will eat anything very fond of children 🙄
  14. I agree but more of a homage for the Alvis. Completing the circle. also today’s trip enabled me to pay a small tribute to my dad who would have been 94 today.
