  1. Thank you, Colin! For a one-off that looks most useful. John
  2. Chateau Jones' kitchens and back stairs facilities, Nick?
  3. DoH! Thanks Phil! But if that's a "random" selection wat's in YouTube, it shows you what lot of Barkers there are!
  4. And, has YouTube changed? I used to go there, and see a whole list of suggested videos down the side, mostly aligned with my interests> I've just been there and that list is gone, with the other way they have of displaying videos to choose from, like 'Images' on Google, but bigger But look at what's there - this is just a screen grab: "The TRUTH about Islam", "Islamists and British Patriots face off in London", scroll down to "Trump's Hole-in-One!", and, the gods save us, "Tommy Robinson". Have the Barkers of the Far Right taken it over? John
  5. Cats too! We 'acquired' a cat once, he just turned up and said, "I live here now". But he wore a collar, with an address half a mile a way, so we took him back. They said he was always running away, maybe it was the vegan food they gave him. He was back in 24 hours, and they Said, Keep him!. His name was Mort, Death of Rabbits. Vegan - Ha!
  6. Ah! Misheard him, then. I used PU foam when I made a hatchback door for Silverback. Is that insulation board open cell foam or closed cell, because the stuff I used was open. I took a mould from the outside of the OE door, but the inside was more complicated, so I just glued foam to the back of it with resin and laid fibre across that for shape and rigidity. But the foam just soaked up resin, and it ended up much heavier than I intended. John
  7. I've got Norton, Malwarebytes AND Cr*pCleaner, all working away, find lots of redundant stuff to remove, but no alarms. CC has just this moment put up a window saying it has found junk! My local IT 'specialist' is Dixons, who I think are scammers themselves, at least of your wallet. Hang on, there is an independent, Black Bear in town, perhaps worth asking. John
  8. Not so long ago: Terry Wogan reads the first of the Janet & John stories CD1 (youtube.com)
  9. My Fb account has been hacked AGAIN! I can't get in as the password has been changed, AND my email address AND my mobile number! When I appeal to Fb of this, I'm told that my account has been blocked, because I'm sending messages too fast, which tells me that all those "Please chat with poor me/send me Amazon vouchers/I have leukaemia" messages are being sent to every one on my mailing list. They will recognise them and delete them this time, and not worry, I hope. Phil got me going again by appealing to Fb as the "friend of a deceased or disabled" member, but I think I would be well rid of Faceache, so please don't bother, Phil or anyone else. I hereby resign from Facebook. How can I tell FB of that? John
  10. I'll have you know, Colin, that I've got way beyond the Jack and Jill go to School book!
  11. Thanks egret! The guy has the wry sense of humour of the best American story tellers, like David Sedaris. But he will need a good coat of paint over his polystyrene mould. Paint may dissolve it, but so does GRP resin. John
  12. Testing @egret this is a test @egret (text first) this is a test @egret. (text first and a full stop) this is a test @egret AH! If I do the @egret, a window opens with your nom d'internet. Click in that window - and the cartouche appears! Thanks for the steer, @egret! John PS Just seen Colin's advice to the above effect in another thread! Thanks, Colin! J.
  13. Bejasus, what were you doing? Forging some railway line , or was it woodworm?
  14. All, An aside: When I offered advice to egret, above, I tried to attract his attention by addressing him with "@egret", because when others do this the characters appear in the post in a blue cartouche, AND they get a 'notification', like that when someone quotes you. But it didn't work! How is this done, please? John
  15. Top pic, Mark, and the Spitfire in action - Pembrey? When was that? I can't offer as many pics of my old cars, but a list is fun Moderns (they were then, -ish): Morris 8 convertable, Isetta 4-wheeler, Mini (surely everyone has had a Mini?), Citroen GS, Vauxhall Viva, Capri (x3), Renault Laguna, Citroen C5, Peugot 208 Classics: Old Blue Vitesse, Silverback, SofS.
