  1. Hello Alll I used to love them and have a CD somewhere with some on Roger
  2. Hello All So is that liquid diet (ie drink and a few crisps???) Sounds good to me or use the Bog at work for the heavy stuff? Roger ps with a nice cess pitt that has a pipe I fitted to take the water off the top and has not been pumped out for a least 40 years just chuckles away to its self! with a nice big crust which to me means its working?? plus we do not put rubbish down it!
  3. Hello John Go on you know you want to? Plus no pckets in Shrouds so they tell me? Then you can spend hours making something you could buy for pence!!! Roger
  4. Hello John Check this site out and up your way? Latest Offers - Chester Hobby Store Roger ps you could collect one in your van!!
  5. Hello John This is the chink one I bought but about £500+ less!! Warco WM 240B Lathe | Belt Drive Metalworking WM 240 B Butthis one would probably do most of the jobs and not so hard on the wallet? Warco WM 180 Lathe With DRO Digital Readout Small Metal Turning Roger
  6. HelloJohn I had a mate at the time who had a plant hire firm and had a flat bed trailer with a steel floor. It was loaded onto to it a the place I bought it from and we slid it off and on to steel tubes as rollers plus I had laid the concrete floor thicker there. It will have to be sold with the house!! Roger Ps the chink belt drive one I bought is just right for the average home workshop jobs(I hardly ever use the big one now just the odd flywheel skim etc but they have gone up in price!
  7. Hello Nick I have forgotten most of what I did but to me it made more sense with ITB's ! Spitty not perfect I suspect a rolling road trip would sort it better but it good enough for this Daft Old Bugger and I still tinker now and then!(plus about 45mpg over the Whole year((5800miles))I can live with!) plus she pulls like a train at 3000rpm(even in top gear o/d with all the kit in when travelling)which is 70mph! I would like to get to the bottom of the second MAP for high places as I think I have back to front at the moment but seeing as we are going on an Alpine trip later in the year We are doing at least 10 Alpine passes and the lowest one is 5750ft (1757m in funny measurements!) so enough to affect the fueling(goodness knows how the 2 TR6's will get on?) plenty of plug changes I suspect? Still an easy trip to Spain first and see a few more Castles etc(and maybe drive across the odd dam or two??) We are going to Visit Salamanca and Toledo amonst other places but more 2 night stops and selfcatering and probably only about 1500 miles total! Roger and the Memsahib
  8. Hello Mark I use ITB mode on my Spitfire with ITB's It seems to work well I averaged 45MPG last year over 5,800miles This is my settings at the moment! I use Microsquirt and Tunerstudio MS Roger
  9. Hello All Me to I sent John a PM to warn him Roger ps mine came in at 11.19 I responded at 12.03 and the request came at 12.07 I asked for proof at 12.20 and nothing since(low life SCUM?)
  10. Hello All I agree as well Spitty has not been on a rolling road but gives near as dam it 45 mpg overall!!! Plus pulls like a train when needed and has suprised a couple of TR6 mates!! The down side for me is I can not stop tweaking it and not all ways for the best? Still is that not why we all go for systems like this as we are tinkerers?(and cheap skates?) Or just buy a MX5 ect no no no !!! Roger
  11. Hello Richard I would advise fitting the later pump as it has more output capacity! A Chis Witor one may be a bit more £'s but probably worth it? Chris Witor Triumph Specialist Roger
  12. Hello All I agree £1200 for a Harrison is a bargin The small Chink one I bought 2 years ago is now about £1800!!! Plus so little wear on these Plus just the right size for a home workshop and with power slides both ways and screw cutting and built like a Brick Outhouse. You just need a single phase motor or one of those converter thingys Transport might be a bit high and getting down the garden path a problem? Roger
  13. Hello All Gates Barricade has been good for me after so called good stuff off Fleabay went hard and smelt of petrol after 12 months and went hard(rubbish but you get what you pay for!!) Gates is still flexible and not smelling of of petrol at least 3 years on!!! Roger
  14. Hello All I was installing a second MPPT solar Chage Controller today(its rubbish now bought a better one my own fault for being a skinflint?) I thought I would how many hours the generators hve run in a year So 07/01/23 to 01/03/24 the total for all 3 is 125.5 hours and they burn about 1lt per hour average(depends on load a bit?) The last gas oil I bought was £1/lt = £125.50! The KWH in meter says 270 KWH's so thats about 2.15 KWH per lt = 46.5p per KWHr I think that is something like you are all paying and no standing charge either. So I reckon the extra panels are paying for themselves? Roger ps the reason for the second charge controller is the main one is rated a 80Amps and I have already seen about 83amps and it would be very expensive to replace it!!! 80A Outback FM80 MPPT Solar Charge Controller - 150VOC PV | eBay pps the one I have gone for is 15amp so should do the job with some of the panels fed via that one and I got a good price of about £52 delivered Not from here Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 75V 15 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller (Bluetooth) : Amazon.co.uk: Business, Industry & Science pps off tho Portugal next Friday for a FULL 7 days there (going Friday and back Saturday should be a bit warmer and drier than here?)
  15. Hello All I can remember chasing Mercury around the desk in the science labs at school when it we were being told it was a metal that was liquid at room temperature!!! Roger ps The Good old days?
