Routing wiring loom in engine bay.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have started inspecting, cleaning and routing the wiring looms in the GT6. All going well so far around the engine bay. One question ... The wiring loom that runs up the left hand chassis towards the front of the car, does it pass through the hole in the suspension turret or does it go across the turret ?

Thanks

On mine (and on my Vitesse) the loom runs over the turret.

This does leave it quite high, which is fine if you have side panels fitted (as I do).  IF you want it lower, practically I don't see any reason not to feed it through the turret.  It will just mean unhooking the wiring in the (unlikely) event of needing to remove the turret and some care with routing needing around the steering rack.

Great clear photos. Thanks for that Nick. I think I will route them over the turret as I intend to fit side panels.

I will put some photos up on the rebuild thread later of what I have done this week and if you see any glaring errors please let me know.
