Dunno if anyone else follows this guy on Youtube, but his detailing videos are really interesting,

Anyway, he's been challenged this time to spend as little money and time as possible getting a 1500 looking better, 

Interesting to see how nice it turns out

It's incredible how those brown Spitfires never rust, there must be a reason...

Urban legend has it that it is due to the lead content.  Valencia blue and Gunmetal grey also......

Hmm, my current car used a donor tub and bonnet from a brown spitfire. That had new wings all round when about 10 years old..... Think it was a 78 car if my memory is not playing its usual tricks. Oh, boot lid was poor, and sills/underside needed quite a lot of fresh metal.
