I've known that for years.

and as my mates told me when I had my first Japanese bike ( it had a rev counter !!)  the red line is the gear change indicator. 

Works for me :wacko:

God i wish i had known before last Sunday,my newly built 1500 that cost a fortune grenaded after just 500 miles,no 2 bore is full of water.

(No i wasn`t redlining it,max 2500 revs)

Not yet Clive,going back to builders next week.Nothing unusual whilst driving to give any clues,one minute fine,temperature and oil pressure fine,then smoke and misfiring,i turned it over after checking plug no2 as it looked oily and a spurt of coolant came out of the plug base.

The  catch tank from the rocker breather was full of milky oil.

Thanks but after spending loads on this with the same company that built my Vitesse 2.5 engine i`m hoping they will stand up,cant see anything i did would make it do this?.
