In a similar vein...  I recently saw one which stated:

Breakfast:  the meal to which chickens contribute and pigs commit.

I took this one in Devon a few years back.  It wasn't helpful.

always wondered if the locals put this one up or whether the road workers hate their job.

There is a sign on an overhead gantry above the M5 at Exeter that says "this sign not in use".  It's been there at least 15 years...….sign not in use.jpg

The (library) pic shows the northbound version but there is a southbound one too

Yass is a little town in NSW on the way to Bathurst.

I was scouting Google Earth the other day, for a route for my US trip, and found the place name of "Peach Bottom".

Gotta go there!  And take a selfie next to the village name sign!

Sad to say, Google Street View revealed that there isn't one.   Perhaps too many were stolen.

not as cute as Peach Bottom - Germany has the town of 'WANK' and the Hamish in PA have 'Intercourse'.

The latter does not have to be sexual, but it tends to pop in there automatically.

Condom in France is always good for a schoolboy giggle too.  Once spent a few hours trying to sleep in the Condom cemetery car park on the 2009 10CR. A bit surreal, though we did not realise what we had parked next too until it got light - we had just been told the neighbors wouldn’t complain!

When in Orkney a couple of years back, I passed through Twatt several times, but never stayed there!

There's Filching down near Eastbourne.

And of course, my home city of Oxford used to have Gropec*** Lane, now Magpie Lane.

My nephew (a brilliant toolmaker) lived at 69 Crotch Crescent, until his untimely death on his motorbike.

He just loved the whole '69 Crotch Crescent' thing, making the most of it whenever he could
