rogerguzzi
Hello All Well here we go again off on another Adventure to Spain & Portugal (what could possibly go wrong?) Here is a map of the general route we be taking its about 1500 miles over there plus 320 miles in UK so about 1800miles in all We set out tomorrow morning early(4am!!!!) to catch the 8.45 am ferry at Portsmouth to Bilbao. We are loosely calling it Castles and Walled towns (we hope?) Martin
Consider between 8 and 9 to have a short detour to the main cities in the Estremadura. Especially Caceres and Merida. Roman cities. Have fun and a save trip, I just returned from a 6 day and 1500 km trip with our Spitfire through the sunny southern German region of "Franken". rogerguzzi
Hello All We are at Leiria and it was a bank holiday yesterday so we found a place with live music a boogied the night away(it cost 3 euro each to get in but for that you had 3 drinks! beer, cider or water EACH!!!) We had some nice Tapas as well The down side today is we find the Castle is shut for the next 2 years? We found this aircraft (what is it?) 9 cylinder radial engines. Off to Coimbra tomorrow via Pombal and Soure (castles) Roger ps checked oil and needed about 350cc to top up after 950 miles(so I am not going to worry about it now)
